My grand daughter is heading off tomorrow for a trip to Washington DC. About 40 kids are going. They worked doing fund raisers ect all summer to earn the money to go. Of course many had donations also from relatives. It should be a real adventure. They have strict rules & lots of security so things should go smoothly. Its some of the 8th grade students. Did you ever take a trip sponsored or planned by the school at any time ? I dont really remember any big trips like that being set up when I went to school. But that was so long ago. We didnt even get many field trips. Finally I begin to hear of some senior trips. I am glad the kids worked hard to earn their way (I am sure most all of them had to do something). It teaches them to work for a goal & you end to appreciate what you work hard for.
