I eat my largest meal of the day anywhere from 1pm to 3pm. No later than 3pm. I always have a small container of Yoplait light, fat-free yogurt and a 5.5-ounce can of low sodium V8 juice with whatever I chose to have for that meal. Sometimes I make a microwave omelet with 2 eggs, about 1 tablespoon of green and red peppers, a little bit of onion, 1 tablespoon 1% milk and about 1/8 of a cup of shredded mild cheddar cheese as my main dish. So good!
Sometimes I'll have a couple of small chicken tenders and a green salad. Just whatever I feel will fit into my plan. It's all good food and I do not feel deprived. I track everything I eat on My Fitness Pal. Even if I eat something off of my plan, it gets tracked. Tracking everything keeps me more accountable where I stay on plan most of the time.
I don't eat anything after I have my dinner protein shake. I just drink water. Then later take my nighttime meds. If I feel like I want a snack, 9 times out of 10 I just go to bed! If I am sleeping, I am not eating! lol
I am human and sometimes that 1 out of 10 gets me and I have a little snack. Then I pay for it the next day by not losing anything or not losing as much. I have found it's ok to have a treat once in a while but not ok to have treats or snacks everyday unless they are healthy snacks.
I hope this helps you a little bit. I know it may not sound like a normal plan to lose weight, but it has worked well for me. I am still losing. Now that I've lost a lot of weight, it's coming off slower, but it's still coming off and that is what matters.
I found that I had to get myself into the right mindset to be successful at losing weight. My good friend says "You have to change your mind to change your life." It's true and once you get your mind changed and realize how much better you feel when eating healthy, it's not a hard thing to do.😊👍💙
