Not good old Iowa I guess altho I will be here until death do us part !! Too severe winters to be ideal. I am pretty happy with the town I live in here. Small--friendly but most things you need can be found here --if not theres bigger towns within 20 miles. I lived in CA for many yrs (but Iowa is home)--the weather there was much milder--but summers were also HOT !! It was a big town with many advantages but too big to get around in easily as a person got older. And the crime rate & gang activity were bad. zNot sure there is an ideal place for weather & living. What works for some does not appeal to others. Iowa has nasty winters & less exciteing things to visit but it is a good place to raise kids--less crime--less stress--
Right now --here close to my children in an easy access apt is right for me at this stage of my life.
