Lake Granite

Posted by 3Dee User icon on September 9, 2026, 11:24 pm

Come on, Granite City Leaders, the largest natural lake in Illinois that's not named Michigan is HORSESHOE LAKE.

It's time to call it Lake Granite.

Of course once you go east, some may want to call it Lake Pontoon and those who live south of Granite City could recognize it as Lake Madison.

Lord knows Edwardsville would try to Annex that too.

But hell with em all, henceforth, it's Lake Granite.

Granite sold it's soul and went for Trump, now start acting like it!

Lake Granite it is. No more Horseshoe Lake.

Asking my friends from a Data Center not in Granite City, IL - I asked them to help me bring King Hoosier to life. I feel like I just insulted Stag Beer.

Okay...done with image links...thought it would take this time.

Maybe Trump intercepted it, though I didn't ask them to even us Trump's likeness.

It did work, just took time to load....

I don't look down on people and don't like the stereotype.

But I will pick on people who are public figures playing out of their league and swept in by the Dunning Krueger effect.

Stag definitely caught a stray there...

Arms weren't skinny enough and the gut was too small, but I feel like it's close.

Between now and Halloween, you'll see a lot of King Hoosier coincidental cosplayers ambling the streets during business hours.

Wait until these yokels see the demographics of the work crews doing the Ameren improvements...

I was trying to replace the red cap with a Burger King Crown. But the BK crown ended up on the shirt design and ended up being a nice touch. Those guys at the data center (not in Granite City) did great work!

The recesses of my sarcasm are tapped at their deepest level over at the data center (not in Granite City, IL). When I can use pictures with my words. It could border on diabolical.
