Democrats: We demand body cams on all ICE Agents!
DHS: Ditto that, done already. Now we will see what is really happening on the steets.

The body cams will most likely show the same "concerned citizens" protesting in different cities. And a deep dive on the travel records and funds would not help Democrats.

Moving the goalposts is standard practice for Democrats.

The body cams aren't going to help their narrative of the "mostly peaceful protesters." They're going to show just how much these folks have been harassing and attacking ICE and other federal agents. Chuck realizes that may be a problem, so he is in dial it back mode.

Do you have a link or reference for the "dial it back mode"? I don't see the issue with protesters being recorded. The only issue I can think of if the ICE officer conveniently turns it off when doing something they don't want on cam.

So send the link, I'm curious what his reasoning is for that... of course, you might have just made that up.

I've played the send a link game before and its a dead end street. Oh, that source doesn't count, or that's not what it means. If i would have made it up, it would have been much juicier. But I'm fine if you go with I just made it up.

Fair enough, but this part is a valid concern:

“Prohibit tracking, creating or maintaining databases of individuals participating in First Amendment activities,”

It's not that they don't still feel the need for them, but if someone is simply participating in non violent protests as defined by the first amendment there is not need to feed those folks into some type of database.... common sense and a valid concern.

The First Amendment has to stay protected.

Given the history of this Administration and their many attempts to violate if not ignore the first amendment,
it is valid to insure that it is not further violated by ICE...

The answer is clear it was a terrific tool as long as it could only be used one way and against ICE. At some point in time they realized they had a problem. What the hell are we going to do when these cameras show what kind of sub-human animals that these Agents are having to deal with? Then it was decided that we have to reel this in a bit until we are satisfied that measures are in place where the cameras can only be used as the one sided mechanism we originally intended it to be. The last thing the Democrat Party wants getting out is the entire truth.

It's a tool that could protect everyone. It's not going to be used "against" ICE, unless they are doing something they shouldn't.... like shooting and killing American citizens who are peacefully protesting.

Conversely, if an agent is being assaulted, it could support an arrest of someone. Your problem, Joe, is you feel ICE should be able to do whatever they want to Liberals with no accountability.

It's stupid to think there don't have to be rules enforced-- officer's can't turn them off when convenient and officers have no rights to compile a database of people peacefully protesting. Yes, there were several videos of agents telling protesters they were tracking them and they would be added to a database.

You live to have "skulls cracked" with no evidence to be had.

Chuckie thought he had a good thing going with the body cams until a little birdie told him that maybe he didn't think his little ploy through completely. Chuckie isn't running the show now, that babbling idiot Biden is gone and the deck isn't quite as stacked as it once was.
