Gov. J.B. Pritzker has announced a series of measures against El Salvador in response to its role in what he called aiding the Trump administration’s defiance of court orders.
Pritzker is asking Illinois' pension funds and procurement agencies to examine any investments or contracts they have with companies in El Salvador and any possible trade agreements. He said the moves were in response to El Salvador’s president’s willingness to help President Donald Trump imprison hundreds of migrants deported to El Salvador, including one man who was sent to prison following an administrative error. A billionaire oligarch that the Left doesn’t complain about.
