Finally Durbin stepping down.

Of course he loves the job of being a US Senator. What 80 year old being paid $174,000 per year, plus expenses, to do nothing, wouldn't love it? And of course that isn't even counting the kickbacks and whatever else he can steal. Its a helluva gig.

RIP Ryne Sandberg.

It's a gig that will probably not be held by anyone south of I-80 for a long time, if ever.

With Durbin, those days will come to an end...a proud history of SOuthern Illinoisian STATESMEN who advocated for the working people.

Now, it's all in Crook County. We'll see what happens.
