It seems his Team and those surrounding him as well as the loyal MAGA folks think so. They support the theory that the President should have total control of federal agencies operations even in cases where Congress has granted them independent status. That he can defy the rulings of Federal judges and even the Supreme Court. His abuse of power is mind blowing.
His cabinet and all those surrounding him were chosen to enable his power grab at every turn.
He is targeting people simply because they don't agree with him. At a recent press conference a reporter asked:
"The president has long said that it would be an abuse of power for a president to direct prosecutors to investigate him. Last week, President Trump explicitly directed the DOJ to scrutinize Chris Krebs ... how is that not an abuse of power" Press secretary Leavitts response was that Trump signed an executive order to do so, he would not have signed it if he didn't believe he had the power to do so, and that's his policy. Paraphrasing, but you can find the clip online. WTF?
Separation of powers have gone out the window. For those who support him... would you support the same for a Democrat President?
Remember, Trump's win was not a landslide, it was not a mandate, and the voters that probably put him over the top, believed he would fix the economy and bring down prices. Look at where we're at.
Trump was elected President. He swore to uphold the Constitution, which clearly states that there are three equal branches of government. Congressional, Judicial and Executive.
He has fired all the AG's. He is by=passing congress and ruling by Executive Order (much of it against the constitution) Congress majority MAGA have allowed him to take away their power.
He and his personal DOJ, Bondi, are defying a Federal Judge, Trump and Bondi both claim that they do not have to obey rule of law. There by attempting to take away judicial oversite.
He has appointed the most unqualified Cabinet that are loyal to him, and not the Constitution.
H has turned all of Americas allies to no longer respect nor trust us as a Great Nation.
He has intentionally caused a trade war that will result in a recession if not worse.
He is attempting to take over higher education and dictate what they can teach and who they hire.
So the answer to your question is a solid no.
He is grabbing all the power he can to become a Dictator. If he is allowed to continue on this path we will no longer be a Free America.
