Some facts: Medicaid is not called out in the bill, BUT...the House Committee, which has jurisdiction over Medicaid - that's the House Energy and Commerce Committee - the bill tells that committee to find $880 billion in cuts over the next decade.. this is not possible without cuts to Medicaid. Kind of sneaky? You bet.

the bill tells that committee to find $880 billion in cuts over the next decade- you may chose to ignore it, but this is a FACT.

this is not possible without cuts to Medicaid -- you might want to call this an obvious conclusion if you like

Guess you didn’t see the GAO (Government Accountability Office) results of its annual report. This department has been around for a long time and is not associated with DOGE.

As both Pelosi and Schumer stayed in 2010, government waste and fraud is real, but they never followed through with investigating and correcting.

Anyhoo, the findings from GAO:

“The U.S. Government Accountability Office released its annual report highlighting the amount of improper payments found in the previous fiscal year ending Sept. 30, 2024. In it, the GAO reports $162 billion in waste, or as the reports states, improper payments in 16 agencies across 68 different programs. Approximately 84% of these improper payments ($135 billion) were the result of overpayments. The GAO estimates the total amount of improper payments since FY 2003 at $2.8 trillion and the actual amount may be much higher.

So what is your conclusion based on this? If you're going to throw random reports here, explain how that relates this particular committee. - cutting 880 billion without effecting Medicaid?

Let's circle back to the original point, Mike Johnson has stated that no where in this bill is the work "Medicaid" mentioned, which, those who don't "read the fine print" interpret cuts to Medicaid are not on the table.

Soccer, this at hand now is a CR (Continuing Resolution). Your own Party leaders, all of them, back in 2010 called for and demanded cuts in Medicare due to fraud and waste. What the hell???

The President is calling for a balanced budget. Let the numbers roll out. Let audits roll out on State budgets before pinning your ears back on opinions.

2010 was 15 years ago. I'm living in the present day. None of that changes my point on this current cr and the threat to Medicaid.

Ten years ago there was fraud and waste in government departments that has CONTINUED until today. You are aware of the deficit, you are aware that we are facing bankruptcy and the implications of such, correct?
