I know the election is a month off but there are so many signs out there this time.
School Board: Uncontested but have seen a couple out for the non-incumbent Christy.
Park Board: I've seen several Harris and Mitchell but none for Followell or Austin.
Library Board: I actually saw one today on Edgewood, but I don't remember the name.
Aldermen: So Randy Lemaster in ward 5 has a bunch out but it looks like his competitor a new guy named Weinhorffer has a good amount too.
Obviously in the mayor race, Parkinson has a ton of signs out there including an electronic billboard by SWIC. No signs for Benda but she may just know the writing is on the wall and not spending money.
Dan Mcdowel has a boatload of signs in his area. I may have seen one for his opponent, the Austin guy who is running for park board as well as against Mcdowel.
I think it's ward 2 where the heavy-set lady dressed as Santa a few months ago was running against Smith. Haven't seen signs from either but I don't get in that area much.
I think I've seen a couple signs in the ward 4 area for Giles and Kovach. The incumbent is Harrington. Haven't seen signs in that area.
So, who is everyone voting for? Do signs have any impact on your decision? The paper used to interview candidates, but I haven't seen that in the BND yet. What determines your support for a candidate? Promises Made, Promises Kept! Republicans stood, the liberal left wept.

It's a step down from the Presidency, but Harris may be ok for the Park Board.The Cockroaches are mad because Elon turned the lights on.

That’s good to hear MG. I wish the mayors race had a real challenge. Not because I don’t think Parkinson isn’t doin a great jo. He is. But from the sound of this Benda woman we will listen to her whine and bitch for months to come. Has anyone ever seen a house for sale in Granite by Epic Realty?

I'd say Mitchell seems like a stand up guy. Haven't seen him in person in many, many years but I respect all he does for the school district, and promoting the community.
It's good to see people who I grew up with still doing good things in Granite City and putting their heart into making it a better place. I think there was even a feature written about him in the Detelligencer. (Sorry it's Edwardsville, can't resist.) He'd have my vote if it could be given.
And Mike, you're going to get a Saturday next time I see that shirt untucked.
