When asked about conflicts of interest during the Musk/Trump news conference, Musk stated the DOGE website offers transparency into all the work they are doing.

All I saw were a few random graphs, offers of DOGE memes, a merchandise section. WTF?

Trump goes on television almost every day to try to distract America and especially Democrats and Judges, from finding out what DOGE is actually trying to accomplish

Musk's son X being there was a distraction as well. It can be fun and cool to bring a son or daughter to work, but not to a Presidential press conference

My opinion is Musk planned it to make him look less evil. The kid was funny though, like a lot of 4 year olds he picked his nose and put his finger in his mouth and at one point the cameras caught him looking at Trump and whispering "shush your mouth". Smart kid. Someone online said X said "hey you're sitting in my Dad's chair." Not true, but believable. TMZ reported that X's mother was not happy about his attendance and I can understand. You don't parade around a 4 year old on the national stage, cute or not.

Y’all do realize that Musk has Asperger's syndrome, so he has great difficulty in social interactions because he lacks the intuitive ability to identify social cues.

He has done very well.

Did you watch the video, I heard it on the one I saw.. so unless it was altered. I do know American Sign Language, and I think a lot of hearing people can read lips to a certain extent.

I've never made any comments about his social skills. That doesn't mean he should drag his toddler to a press conference, especially one that is televised around the world.

I looked up the video again and apparently there are two videos.. one in which X is sitting on his Dad's shoulder and he points at someone in the crowd and appears to say "shut your mouth".. and the other has X standing next to Trumps desk and says "sush your mouth"

I'm sure he's mimicking something he's probably been told many times. It's funny, but again, leave the kid at home or with a nanny while you're doing official business especially when televised.

If I may side track for a second, I admire you for knowing sign language, since I can hardly keep up with the closed captions on TV, but was the signer actually concerned with what the kid said? OK - I've made my comment, so continue with your arguing.

BTW, I just watched a clip and it didn't have a signer and I couldn't tell what the kid was saying. Maybe I had the wrong clip.
