At least five Senate Republicans, including Mitch McConnell, Lisa Murkowski, and Susan Collins, were not about to vote for Gaetz, I'm sure there were others. This paved the way for Gaetz's withdrawal. These RINOs once again showed their true colors, siding with the establishment instead of backing a patriot dedicated to cleaning up the swamp. And make no mistake Gaetz was an excellent pick, just one who couldn't get the votes. Trump should have known this, hell everyone else knew it.
He picked some real bums his last go around and this time he is picking who he wants. The Democrats are trying to pick off a few Republican Senators with each Trump pick because they know full well every single Democrat will vote NO if they need them to block someone.

Gaetz is volatile, It's no secret he isn't going to win any popularity contests. When he got chosen I told my brother, that this was the ultimate F U pick for the Democrats and the Rinos, but the problem was that he couldn't get confirmed. Now they will attack Biondi, but the difference is this time the GOP won't play along. She is a kinder, softer version of Gaetz, but she will do a good job.
