If one person who shouldn't be within 1500 feet of a school ascends to the presidency, why not promote another to Attorney General? They can help keep each other off the hook! Brilliant plan.

There is no honor among criminals. Whether he is confirmed or not, one will turn against the other eventually.

That's ALWAYS what happens when people deal with Baby Trump.

He wants loyalty going in one direction, TOWARD Trump.... it doesn't flow mutually the other way. It never has, and never will.

Just because he can talk loudly, act tough, and talk over people doesn't make him qualified.

Blu, do you think he should not be fully vetted like any other nominee? Do you think the Ethics Committee's report should not be released? It's not just Dems who think so.

I don't for one minute buy the explanation of why he stepped down when he did.

This smells of "you protect me and I'll protect you". Let him face a healthy interrogation and defend whatever is in that report.

If he didn't have sex with an underage girl among other things, wouldn't he want the report to prove it?

Show me where the ethics committee has ever released a report of this type on a private citizen, and I will assume it has happened a dozen times before. No charges were filed, all they want to do is twist some wording with the help of the MSM to make him appear to be a serial rapist or maybe a mass murderer.

The panel has previously released reports on lawmakers who resigned. In 1987, the committee published its report on former Rep. William Boner (D-Tenn.) after he resigned from the House, and did the same to former Rep. Donald Lukens (R-Ohio) in 1990 after he resigned.

There is nothing in the Ethics Committee’s rules that bars publication or voting to share a report simply because the subject is no longer a member of the House. While the jurisdiction for punishment ends with membership, sharing information already gathered in a probe is up to the committee. The long pattern of not releasing reports is a courtesy rather than a rule.

The "private citizen" we are talking about is being nominated for Attorney General. All I'm saying is vet him, which means any and all information about him should be fair game.
