Speaker Johnson is requesting that the Ethics Committee not release their report on Matt Gaetz.

Why? Gaetz has been nominated for Attorney General. He's being investigated for sex trafficking, having sex with an underage girl and pimping her out. If he's exonerated, they can move forward with his name cleared. Where's the transparency here?

Nominate someone else Donnie.

Gaetz was investigated for over 2 years, prosecutors advised that charges NOT be filed. Now maybe they needed Jack Smith, I'm sure he would have dug something up. Let us get The Epstein list and Diddys info and let the chips fall where they may. For those actually guilty of something you can even hang the Republicans first.

The DOJ spent years investigating Gaetz and found nothing. Does anyone with a brain think that Merrick Garland had Gaetz in the crosshairs, found evidence of wrongdoing, and then decided NOT to charge him with anything? Garland was and is a Biden hack and would have loved to take Gaetz down. Garland would have nailed Gaetz to the outhouse door in a heartbeat if he had found any little tidbit of evidence against him. He didn't have it.

Then why not release the report? This has nothing to do with Diddy or Epstein... or does it? If this were a Dem you'd be screaming conspiracy.

You think Gaetz stepped down so fast because he was sure he was going to get the AG job and wanted to give them time to replace him?

My guess is, if they don't release it, it will get leaked. Unless Trump pulls a "recess appointment", which I wouldn't doubt, I would hope that Gaetz will not get confirmed. Absolutely the wrong person for the job.

Nobody is saying he will be confirmed, he won't be. But watching leftist heads explode rocks. I probably would have chosen Whitaker, to avoid all the yapping, but then they would have just doubled down on RFK Jr. Did anyone really think the Democrats were going to just go along to get along? No, that's what Republicans do, and why they often get steamrolled.

The dems have now been given the assignment to disrupt.

Nancy and Chuck will do everything in their power to stall or block cabinet appointments.

Governors like Jaba the Pritzker will interfere with deportations.

It's part of the plan. When you can't handle the fact that you got your ass handed to you in an election, you have to run interference for the group who led you down the losing path. Right now, all they have is disruption and laying the blame on Joe Biden for this slaughter.

Let them do it. It won't stop Trump, and a GOP controlled congress.

And if you need a reason to believe Trump was the right pick, listed to a couple of minutes of the Laken Riley trial. Biden and Harris will carry this blood to their graves as they will the thirteen service members they left in Afghanistan.

I know you all weren't born yesterday. Do you actually expect Dems to just go along with anything they are opposed to? Especially when it comes to Trump? I think it's pretty SOP these days for the parties to opposed most of what the other party puts forward.

If Harris had won, the situation would be reversed. You act as though the Dems should just accept anything Trump or his party does. You know it doesn't work that way so don't act so shocked or appalled.
