I met with a group of very old friends this morning, several who are much more politically wise than I am.
One brought up a point that may have merit.
As he said, there are many Trump supporters who stay in their closets for fear of arguing with the self-righteous people in their circle who back Harris.
Think about the FB media site. You see many Harris supporters calling Trumpets names like Nazis, woman haters, etc. Why argue with that kind of verbal beat down?
I agree with Joe that often, GOP supporters don't speak loudly enough and should be more vocal. In this case, my friend said, and I now agree, the shy Trump supporter may just come out of the closet like the LGBTQ society has lately. If that happens, stick the polls in your back pocket. Voting booths, in most states, are still a private place to vote.
Speaking of Mrs. O's sister went to vote this morning at the Township building. It was raining so the judges allowed the line to jam itself into that small office area they use. When my SIL took her finished ballot to the machine to insert it, the judge told her, "Take it out of the sleeve and it will be easier to slide in the slot". There were three people within eyesight of the machine.

I would never wear a MAGA hat, although I have worn a shirt trashing Zuck and a VIVEK shirt.(VIVEK was my first choice, (pretty weird for a so-called Trumper) My dad had a Trump baseball cap, my niece gave him. I told him not to wear that out of the house, that one of those 70 IQ twits will key your car if they see it. A friend of mine gave me a Trump sign, I put it in my basement because I don't want my car windshield smashed. It's not that way on the other side, people can put up Harris signs and bumper stickers, and not one damn thing will happen. I would especially never wear a Trump item in a restaurant, because I am not fond of anyone spitting in my food. It's sick that people have to feel that way, and it is on one side only. Anyone claiming differently is lying.

Calm down folks, that entire scenario works both ways. I see the same thing in reverse, there are folks whose families are ingrained in MAGA and they typically just stay quiet when the Dem bashing, Kamala hating goes on. I think there may be just as many secret Kamala voters as Trump voters.
Trump views himself as the ultimate victim, never owns anything, it's always someone out to get him.
You can do the both sides thing, the numbers are just not equal. The white woman who accosted the black woman for having the gall to leave the Democrat plantation, you saw the video. She seemed very comfortable attacking that poor woman, not a care in the world. Until such time that you slide if you are a liberal Democrat and you don't if you are a Republican are over it will NOT be a both-sides situation.
