Trump can't change the transcript. Trump should have been smart enough to know they would twist his words and not explain the context or for that matter even mention the topic at all.

Ya know, Trumps "super limited" gold sneakers cost $399.00-- and sold out in 2 hours. I wonder if anyone has ever seen someone wearing them. I tried to find out where they were made, but it seems to be a mystery.

I did see a piece somewhere that looked at all the junk in Trump's merchandise store and the majority if not all of the stuff was made in "Jina".. I.e. China. People better stock up in case he wins and slaps a big tariff on them.

I don't think they are all evil, I don't honestly know which ones were kept, but Trump is talking about increasing, expanding as a savior for the country's economy. A lot people don't realize the tariffs are paid by the importer, an American business, and not by the origin country and often those costs are passed along to us.

If they aren't carefully applied there is no doubt prices will increase even more on products we use everyday and big ticket items as well.

The experts all say that the proposed "Trump tariffs" of20% will cause inflation to rise with most Americas paying 3 to 4 thousand dollars per year on common goods.

I’ve heard similar but I also heard credit card debt due to this inflation will bankrupt many Americans. Also, the extremely high price of housing stock is due to implode like it did in 07-08 and that will leave banks holding lots of bad paper.

You know who’s not hurting? Every candidate running for office.

The experts? There are experts on both sides of this issue. You must like the United States to be the loser in unfair trade wars and I guess with that you have no problems with Americans not working and relying on the federal coffers intil there’s no more. Elon Musk has said that he and Trumps economic plans will create "temporary hardships"

In a telephone town hall last Friday, Musk—whom Trump plans to put in charge of a government commission tasked with cutting spending—said that the spending cuts he’ll spearhead (and that famed investor John Paulson is also helping devise) would cause “some temporary hardship” but would lead to “long-term prosperity.” Even more strikingly, a few days later Musk took to X to agree with a tweet asserting that the combination of spending cuts and Trump’s proposed mass deportations of undocumented migrants would cause a “severe overreaction in the economy” and lead markets to “tumble.”

“Sounds about right,” Musk wrote.
