Of all the lies perpetuated by Trump and repeated by the MAGA cult, the blatant lies about Helene disaster relief are some of the most despicable.

Some actual facts:

$750.00 was an immediate payment to help with whatever they needed at the moment. It's not a loan and it's not in any way all they will be receiving. It's cruel to lead people who are possibly at their lowest point in their lives, desperate for help, that their government has abandoned them.

FEMA is not out of money for disaster relief, period. They will need more funding and Congress needs to get their asses back to Washington and take care of that. Trump made a comment about Helene that it was coming at the end of the Hurricane season. Season is June through November.

Disaster relief was approved before Helene made landfall. Several Republican governors stated publicly that they were in contact with Biden and they were getting everything they need.

Trump doesn't care about the storm victims. All of the lies and misinformation about how the government is handling Helene relief is starting with the biggest liar of them all.

What is being reported by flood victims? That they feel abandoned? I'm sure they do, especially if they are cut off from communication of any kind. That is only natural and expected.

Trump started and is spreading the lies that the Biden Harris administration are doing nothing, their response was slow, they don't care about those victims. If victims somehow get word from family members or friends who have heard and believe Trump's lies, that is just adding to their suffering for no reason. Trump would much rather use this disaster as a political opportunity instead of helping people. He truly is a POS.

That is what is despicable and cruel, but one would expect this of Trump.

No matter the President, the other side badmouths them.

Yes, there are victims even complaining on CNN about the WH response. Hell, Granite people were crying too in 2011 when half town was without power for a week and that was nothing to the death and devastation inNorth Carolina. Both parties play this game and only fools believe anyone is at fault in this kind of disaster.

Money? For what? Most stores and gas stations are without power. What would they buy? Helicopters carrying food, water, diapers, baby food and other staples is what should have been on the ground two days later. Shelters for the next wave of storms and shower trucks are needed. Blame games are political tools of the Shepard leading the sheep.

If Trump loses which I expect will be the case, maybe a half-dozen drunks per state will act out, if Kamala loses there will be orchestrated chaos for weeks. As long as they destroy blue cities I'm ok with it. Riots, protests, arson, the whole nine yards. They tried to kill Trump twice and the SS couldn't have been any more inept and not a hint of violence. I would not have expected you to agree Soccer. Each side is blinded by the other's outrageous behavior. Kamala, while potentially saner than Biden, is way out of her league.

She's only at the top of the ticket because she was in the right place at the right time. If Joe hadn't lost the debate in June, and the if the dems had more time, there would be a different candidate running.

As for flipping? Border, support of police, fracking, supporter of the BLM destruction in 2020. Again, stay your course. No votes are changing because of the rhetoric of either side here.

Why does one party oppose virtually every single option that allows for cheating to be curtailed??? In California now you can't even ask a voter anything about their legal status or anything concerning I.D.You can pretend that isn't the case, it doesn't matter to me I will be greatly entertained with one-party rule just as long as everyone suffers from it equally. People get what they deserve.

Opinionated - Even though it's already illegal for non citizens to vote and there has been no evidence of widespread voter fraud, I would not be opposed to additional measures to ensure voter eligibility as long as it is easily accessed by all citizens and all of the necessary infrastructure was in place, in every state, before it went into effect. I did not research the details of the SAVE Act because I was fairly certain it wouldn't pass given it was tied to funding the government... no one but Trump expected it to pass. I would agree if there was widespread voter fraud and nothing was being done to address it, that would be a threat to Democracy, but that's not the case.

As far as Trump, you have to look no further than him denying the election results, directing Pence to not certify the election... you know the whole story. He believes he is above the law, he plans to pardon the Jan 6 criminals. He thinks any legal decision against him, even by a jury trial is rigged. You've heard it all so I won't go on.

As far as being a Dictator. His own VP once called him "America's Hitler". He is at least a Dictator wanna-be who has no business leading our country.

Google or research the qualities of a dictator, you'll recognize many of them in Trump.

You Millgirl and Soccer don't debate issues, they say what they say, then you say what you say, and then tell them how wonderful they are. It's okay, nothing wrong with going along to get along, I just dont do it, and especially when it is so blatantly one-sided. They don't move, they don't budge one damn inch ever, but you do in order to be their favorite pretend conservative. I never could figure out why those two are on your do-not-disturb list but The Pillow guy you deem as toxic. In case you haven't noticed they agree on just about everything, but Pillow is at least mildly amusing.

By the way, I supported Vivek in the primary so I'm not sure how much of a Trumper that makes me. You remember Vivek right, he was the one who made Haley run away and hide behind Chris Christie. I sometimes wish that Haley would have won the primary because I know you are a big fan of hers. I would have gotten a kick out of Both siding Nikki and Kamala while the libs in here were trashing Haley because that is 100% what they would be doing to her. They would have portrayed her as being worse than the Hitleresque Trump and I would just feel the need to 50% agree with them, I know you understand, I just wouldn't be able to help myself. That would have been a lot of fun.

Over the years I have witnessed some of your posts and thought to myself, check him out, opi is kicking a** today, and then I realize, ah never mind he will be walking it back or watering it down a little bit later. Opinionated and I disagree on all the same things most conservatives and liberals disagree on. There is no doubt in my mind that he is a conservative who doesn't buy into all the lies and ways of Donald Trump.

I remember when DeSantis was thought to be a threat and that perhaps he would nudge Trump aside. The lefties were circling the wagons, claiming he was going to be worse than Trump. 100% they would have done the same damn thing with Nikki Haley, and I would have sat back and laughed, perhaps even joined them. I have said it a dozen times, I think the country probably needs 4 more years of Kamala, but my reasons for saying that are not very pure. If that is really what the electorate wants all that I want to see is for them to suffer the ramifications of that stupidity. Thats it, that is all that I would hope for, nothing more.

If Trump gets in, it's just going to be more Lawfare, more impeachments, more phony BS, so it isn't going to matter that much anyway. So maybe it's better to skip all of that and keep on with the carnage? Oh wait, I forgot I'm a Trumper, I am not supposed to say that.

As for Opie. we do not always agree on issues. He makes good points based on what he believes and I respect that. I think he feels the same about Soccer and I. That is what debate is. Not hating those who have a different view or point. I find common ground and I hope he does also.

You group everything and everyone into "they, them etc. and seem to think all in those "groups" think the same thoughts. You could not be more wrong in that belief. .

I think he was hearing that individual pilots were being prevented from landing in certain areas and assumed FEMA was preventing it. Pete Buttigieg spoke with Musk and whatever was causing the issue was resolved. Musk thanked Buttigieg for intervening and said he was "on the ball". He posted this on X
