I usually try to watch both the shows.
This morning, I was able to do so, and I noted a couple of things.
1.) Bernie was on MTP and was asked, do you think Harris is setting Biden and progressive policies aside? Surprisingly, he said, "she's saying what she needs to say to get elected". I found that odd. Granted, that's what she's doing but I was surprised to hear him say it out loud.
2.) The democratic senator, when asked about the economy, said we have recovered faster than any other nation since COVID. I would have followed up with, "do you think a mother of three paying $3.00 for a loaf of bread gives a rats ass about the economy in Spain?
3.) Of course, the main topic was about the upcoming debate and of course each side on the left leaning MTP and the right leaning Fox Sunday, said their candidate will win. First, I seriously doubt votes are going to change based on the gibberish both candidates will spew. The GOP analyst said he hopes Trump doesn't get baited into attacking her personally. Good luck. The democrat analyst said, I hope Harris doesn't get baited by Trump and sticks with policy.
My thought was, she can't stick with policy because the existing policies, no matter her stance this week, are her baggage to carry.
And as for Trump, there is no way he won't attempt to get in her head like he did with Hillary in 16. Of course, he won't be allowed to move around the stage in an attempt to intimidate her.
The mics are muted which Harris hates. She wants him to mouth off. Trump's body language will be tell tale.
Again, the debate won't change votes. This thing is already decided but it will make a fun watch.When you put a nice saddle on a mule, it's still not a racehorse.

Initially, she was good with mics muted, then she wasn't. Then Trump was chicken to debate her, then he offered to debate 3 times and she bailed on that, opting only for the home cooking and having the questions in advance. All the questions will be basically served up for her and designed to put Trump at a disadvantage. I do agree that these debates are nonsense and anyone voting on a debate performance shouldn't even be allowed to vote. Can you imagine Millgirl claiming, if Trump does a good job in this debate and Harris doesn't I'm going with Trump? Who can BS the best should not be the criteria now or in any future election. Trump could have walked over and pulled Bidens pants down and I still would have voted for him over Biden, and before you say anything keep in mind the Democrats tossed Joe in the dumpster for much less than that.Democrats hate free speech because it makes it harder for them to lie.

I watch NBC on Sunday morning before church. I did not watch today. I do not pay a lot of attention to what their guest says. those that for Harris as well as those who are for Trump will just repeat what their candidate is saying. I will watch the debate and agree that it will not change anyone's mind. There are some who have not decided if they will vote or not since they don't support Trump and do not know much about Harris. It could get a few more to the polls. Muted mics are needed when you have Trump in front of a camera. He is his own worse enemy when he rambles nonsense and attempts to attack his opponent. You are correct Joe. I will never vote for a convicted felon who has to pay women he sexually assulted. His moral standreds are far from mine.

Exactly. If he can hold his temper and just let her speak, AND if she is asked real questions, she will sink herself. Not trying to argue this one but you have to admit, the changes in positioning on some of the main issues, isn't a very good step toward confidence building. Of course, in one debate, she as good as called Joe a racist and now she loves him.
As I said, it will be a good show and America's Got talent is pre-empted, so we have to watch something.When you put a nice saddle on a mule, it's still not a racehorse.

Look, she will be given every possible edge that the network can do for her, and she already knows and has approved every question she will be asked. Trump is not a magnificent debater, but he should still do fine against this ninny. She knows better than to debate him on a neutral platform. Democrats hate free speech because it makes it harder for them to lie.
