Joe Smith - Yep, all politicians say stupid stuff, but Trump gets singled out because it is so often, mostly blatant lies with video clips people can see and hear with their own eyes.
His maturity level is not what at least half the country expects of a Presidential candidate. He is easily rattled and everyone can see that Biden dropping out and Harris dropping in has only escalated his bizarre rants.
He posted he thinks it's possible that Biden is going to storm the Dem convention and reclaim his place as the Dem candidate and demand Trump debate him again. He's said Harris is "very low IQ" -- I guess he's just playing to his base.
Vance isn't doing him any favors with his rhetoric. It makes me sick to see a Veteran attack a fellow Veteran's service. Neither of them saw combat that I'm aware of, they both served honorably, period.
If Harris or Walz said and did the exact same things that Trump says and does, they would be get the same amount of coverage.

It's not a case of Stolen Valor, Marshall. Despite Vance trying to advance this inaccurate characterization, Democrats who are Veterans will recognize this as another desperate attempt to cast a negative light on the opponents that the Trump campaign is so threatened by.
Those that already support Trump will seize upon it and try to capitalize on it. If they are veterans, they should be ashamed of themselves for believing this crap.

Have to disagree soccer. First, a national guardsman serving in Italy is not a combat veteran and many veterans don't even recognize the guard, until they're called up, to fight. When they play the song at the Patriots in the Park, that calls veterans of the military to stand and be recognized, they don't call on the national guard because they aren't, for the most part, fighting vets. Army, Air Force, Navy, Coast Guard and the Marines.
Second, there are protocols in the military to advance in rank, one of which is to take and pass all affiliated courses. This guy didn't and his rank was demoted. His story is similar to the cowardly John Kerry's Vietnam gunboat stories.
It's offensive and disrespectful to real vets and it will cost him votes just like the comments Trump made about suckers.
This guy will drag down the ticket.
And here's another thing that the democrats better look out for. Cory lard ass Bush just lost her re-election campaign and the Jewish community in Missouri is credited for it. The spent a huge amount of money to oust this squad trash because of her pro-Israeli and pro Hamas stance.
Guess what. There is a huge Jewish presence in Minnesota and Wisconsin. If the Jewish community see Kamala and her boy as sympathizer to the clowns protesting at colleges and defacing monuments, they may lose in those states.
A former college friend of mine lives in upper Minnesota. He said that while the VP pick is popular in the St. Paul/Minneapolis area, he is not so popular in the rural and higher income suburb area, especially among professionals.
He let his city burn during the Floyd riots. Kamala sympathized with the protestors. If they had just come out against the cop that actually killed Floyd, it may not be as big a deal. Again, this is coming from a professional, former business owner who has a pretty good pulse on what he sees and hears from different demographic groups. Who knows?
As for the military, fact check this guy's statements on Forbes, and they walk a rope in their backing. However, what is clear, is this guy mis-represented himself in an effort to make himself more manly.

Tim Walz is affectionately known as a pogue in military slang meaning that he was NEVER in combat nor was he ever deployed anywhere in his years of being in the National Guard.
In fact, he abandoned his unit when rumors of possible combat deployment began circulating amongst the ranks.
It’s not crap.
His National Guard service record shows as required per contract, 1 weekend a month, and 2 weeks a year. That is 950 days of service to the National Guard over 25 years.
He was never deployed. He went to Italy on his own, NOT to Iraq during Operation Enduring Freedom.
His website states he is a retired Sgt. Major(they will probably quietly correct this), he is NOT. He never completed the Sgt. Major Academy or fulfilled the requirement of serving two years at that rank because he quit.
Now he is wearing the crest of the 1st. Special Forces Command (Airborne)
He never served in Special Forces. He never even worked with Special Forces. He never went through SFAS training.
This is frowned on by the military, totally against protocol. You do NOT wear the insignia of any unit you were not a part of.
This CREST is earned.

Neither Vance nor Walz saw combat. The National Guard is part of the US Military. They are real veterans. Both sides are going to try to capitalize on anything they can, but I still feel it's disrespectful for a Veteran to attack a fellow Veteran's service. Waltz did not "abandon" his unit. You and I must have different experiences when it comes to fellow Veterans we know.
At this point, I don't think this issue will drag down the ticket or have any effect on the way Veterans vote. It will give the MAGA folks something they can exploit, but both sides do that.
We will agree to disagree.
I'm really looking forward to the debate or debates. I said that about the Biden/Trump debate and that was a fiasco, but it did bring us to where we are today. The Presidential election of 2024 will be unforgetable

In the end, it's still a contest to see who can debate the best. Kamala's past as a prosecutor (even a poor one) might give her a slight advantage, but who knows? I find it odd that after all her huffing and puffing she just wants to do only the friendly ABC debate where Trump says he will do 3.
