Opinionated, even Fox News is calling it an "incident"and talked about "possible gunshots" so let's not try to throw shade at the White House.

I'm guessing it was definitely a shooting based on witness reports, but no one is going to take the official leap until more details come out.

Which is why I said, "did we just witness" in my post. Clearly now, the secret service and law enforcement are leaning toward a shooting and the sound definitely leads that way.

Soccer, a senator sitting on stage said a spectator was also wounded so I'm pretty sure now we can call it a shooting. You don't usually hear about multiple victim fireworks casualties.

Opinionated, I fully agree this is a shooting. I was only pointing out that you seemed to take issue only with the White House, i.e. Dems, calling it an incident.

I'm sure there is more of a response coming from Biden and the White House. Hopefully this dead shooter left behind some clues as to why he would do something like this. I guess he was still posing an active threat for them to have killed him.

Former President Obama and Nancy Pelosi have made very gracious comments now. I agree with you that the shooter is dad by suicide by cop. No way he was going to stop shooting.

I'm speculating now but they say one of the people behind Trump was hit and I'm wondering if Trump was hit by a ricochet (based on his delayed response) or it could be the blood splatter of the other person hit. Again, my speculation only.

I think he definitely got hit, but very well could have been a ricochet. I was concerned at first he may have been very seriously wounded... I know from experience there is often a delayed response when the body is injured seriously. I think at a minimum his ear was hit very hard by something.

Agreed. I remember when Connoly was hit in Dallas by the so-called magic bullet. If this was a direct shot, Trump is lucky to be alive. An inch behind or in front of that ear and he's done.

I am not a Biden supporter but if this happened to him, I would be equally as pissed and want that shooter to end up in the morgue.

An attack on any public figure is always wrong. I am not a fan of Trump but strongly feel he has a right to hold rallies and his followers have every right to attend them an feel safe, as does anyone on either side.
Very sad that this attacked happened, and happy that the shooter was taken out as he deserved to be.

The fake news media propaganda outlet's coverage would be much different had this been an attack on Joe. They'd immediately go to See, we told you conservatives were domestic terrorists that intelligence and law enforcement agencies need to treat as the greatest national security threat to our country. But now they will go into "Both Sides" mode I would imagine.
