Butker is exercising his right to free speech, but he's totally out of touch with reality. I doubt his wife could have lived her dream of being a wife and mother without his salary. I wonder how his speech was received by the women and gay graduates.

Tyreek Hill is 30 years old and has ten children with five different women, but the NFL is triggered by Harrison Butker telling young people to get married and raise children together. Having said that, Harrison should have seen this coming. Sure his jersey sales are through the roof, but he will encounter all kinds of hate, probably even from his own teammates. In other news, they finally found Rudy Giuliani to serve him with indictment papers after he bragged they couldn't find him. Giuliani is not the smartest criminal around.

You don't know what you're talking about.

Just like St Louis University, you don't have to be Catholic to attend Benedictine. Probably 50 percent of the students are women. Women who just spent 4 years preparing for a career. Likely some of the men and women are gay. You don't have to be "woke" to disagree with his views--- I wonder what your definition of "woke" is?

Here is the most accepted definition:

Woke is an adjective derived from African-American Vernacular English (AAVE) originally meaning alertness to racial prejudice and discrimination. Beginning in the 2010s, it came to encompass a broader awareness of social inequalities such as racial injustice, sexism, and denial of LGBT rights.

What's wrong with that? The term was demonized by mostly white Republican politicians.

Saying the NFL would have been more than okay with him proclaiming what you stated is just delusional.

Of the thousands of commencement speeches, this is the one that creates a buzz. Butker should have said no, he should have known this would be the outcome. He did ask for this, and he should have been smarter than that. His career is pretty much over now, I doubt he's in the league for two more seasons. The thought police will take him down, and many of his teammates won't stand up for him even the ones that agree with a lot of what he had to say. This will most likely cause a riff in the Chief's locker room, which I don't mind, but the good news is it might hurt the team in the win-loss column. Tim Tebow can relax, he's no longer public enemy number one. The mob has a new target.

He is 28 and I'm not sure I'd listen to either him or an 81-year-old with dementia for life advice. But over 8 in 10 students attending Benedictine are Catholic, so it's not as though he was speaking at California Berkeley. I'd listen to whoever was speaking, and get the hell out of there.
