Don't ever let the lack of education, sound judgement, and just plain horse-sense hold you back for reaching for the stars, or in this case an elected position. The local clown show podcast with the elected official co host is living proof just how low the bar is set for landing a seat at the decision making table at the local level! One would think the lack of audience and interest would be enough for this situation to correct itself, but instead they keep trudging forward hoping eventually the audience will grow beyond a local village idiot or two. When the topics slow down and the engagement becomes awkward from lack of semi intelligent responses back to the host, the co host may revert back to once again referencing her husbands advanced age and how she is looking to her future marriage status returning to single, because of their age difference.
This embarrassing spectacle should give hope to anyone and everyone, and be proof positive that all things are possible.
Don't be so jealous and critical it takes talent to be able to juggle so many bowling pins at once. The podcast you mention and committees and meetings, hell just PR alone for her sidekick's businesses is dang near a full time job. I guess it's an even trade off though, PR services for being prepared, groomed and guided for all things above her head and pay grade it's a win win situation. It's paid off to the point it's like never losing an election, you get to guide the car from the backseat and never have to buy the gas.
