Cavalier Furniture - I'm confused

Where is the furniture? Why invest so much into a building, into a premium parking lot, but offer no merchandise for sale unless you want to buy a cat tower or a massage chair? I was under the impression that this was an actual furniture store, not an empty massive showroom with a handful of desk chairs and trampolines for their own children to jump around on while customers shop an empty building.

Several locals have reported / posted that the owner/agent/employees say they cannot find anyone to help at the store. Is that for real? I mean look at the revenue associated with this place, and they can't pay someone an attractive wage to come in and assemble some of this furniture? To stock the showroom? The parking lot sits empty, because there are no customers, because there is no inventory unless you want a desk chair or a dog kennel.

After a little digging apparently the owners of the building / store are NAMEOKI, LLC. What does that even mean? I went to the factory direct website listed in the citation pages, but it's dead, there is no website.

Everything is sold as is as well. All sales final, so if you get it home and its dented, broke, missing stuff, good luck getting a refund.

I did buy a $60 desk chair. It was already put together. Its fine. It wont get used all that often. I would NOT buy any of the other cheap crap there.

Let's face it.
They invested a couple of million dollars. They think it will work.

Can't find help? No surprise in an area where Help Wanted signs outnumber For Sale signs.

Too many people want money with no work effort.

Once they are up and running their target audience is income earners like those in GC, surrounding communities and internet sales. For some residents, this type of furniture is first class.

I'll give them a chance once they get up and running. I need a new desk chair for my home office.

This doesn't surprise me in the least. As far as giving this store and owners even more time than they have already had in order to get ready for actual business, I'm not interested. I'm also not interested in a pile of overstock or discontinued items for sale. I can go to Ollies for that.

Nothing about this business is adding up. They had MILLIONS to invest in a building and a parking lot designed to hold a huge number of vehicles and customers, that was no problem with their budget. But it's not within their budget to hire a staff at a decent wage to assemble the "furniture" they acquired a business license to sell?

Nothing about this entire situation makes any sense, well not any actual business sense. This was supposed to be a furniture store. Where are the dining tables, the lamps, the area rugs, the couches and chairs, coffee tables, end tables, beds and bedroom furniture?

This place is anything but a furniture store, but the real question is, what is it really?

Don't be so eager to cry conspiracy theory. With everything that is going on in the world today, nothing seems to be outside the realm of possibility. The Governor of Arkansas just yanked back a large amount of farmland purchased by China in her state.

With who all knows what has crossed over the open southern border, many, many suspicious looking scenarios can be labeled a conspiracy theory.

They tell you "if you see something, say something", but when you do you are labeled a conspiracy theorist. I agree with Mr. Smith, something isn't adding up.

Someone mentioned that parking lot being paid for with TIF money? How can that be? I think ten thousand dollars is the cut off for TIF money grants, and I don't believe this building is inside of our TIF District. No way could that parking lot be redone for ten thousand dollars.

Look at the whole picture. A completely refurbished old KMart, down to plumbing, electricity, flooring, etc. A fully landscaped, magnificent parking lots, signage, but nothing to sell unless you want a dog kennel, cat tower, massage chair or a desk chair.

Does this, as a business model, make sense? How many of those items would you have to sell in order to see some type of profitability for the investment? What's in the warehouse? What are the semi-trucks bringing in or taking out?

WHY IS THERE NO MERCHANDISE???

You can't pay much attention to what this guy says with his tin foil hat jabs. This is the same guy who tried to intimidate one of the young people who came forward on this message board about a teacher being inappropriate with students. The very same teacher who was fired, arrested and found guilty of these accusations.

The very same accusations this old bully told this young guy he should be very afraid of being sued for by coming forward and talking about. Worker, remember the original post. The implication was the new furniture store might be some type of underground cover up.

It's a store with furniture, much of which needs assembling, similar to an IKEA product. To think anything else is idiotic or paranoia at work.

The company spent millions on the project and bought out buildings. Most Granite citizens can't even comprehend such an undertaking and therefore get concerned.

Corporations don't work like that and they are probably much more capable of investing than most of us.

Time to lay off the media hype.

I went in there last week. To say the store, layout, and inventory is odd is a serious understatement. I half expected Rod Serling to come out of the back and tell me that i had entered the Twi-Light Zone.
