And sometimes it’s hard.Hearing people griping about the new softball field at Coolidge or the solar panels ruining the fireworks is interesting.
While I enjoyed the fireworks at Coolidge, we still have them in the park. That’s actually where they were in my early years. Why should the school district balk at making improvements for a once a year event?
Then they are talking about not having graduation on the football field because of the new turf. Okay, we go back to the days of graduation in the gym. At least now they have air conditioning.
Will granny miss junior’s graduation? Maybe. Is it worth letting people tear up the million dollar field with lawn chair legs or to have confetti all over that turf? Seems like the weather these days makes it smarter to be inside.
I think the board can’t win on some decisions.When you put a nice saddle on a mule, it's still not a racehorse.

100% agree with you on this.
There are things that can be done to protect the turf, but not sure of what the cost would be. Something to look at. However, I've never heard anything official saying this about graduation, only hearsay, it will be interesting to see what happens and how it is addressed.
