Can anyone explain this?

In a court filing, the DA offered a new insight into the incident that happened in the early hours of Friday, October 28. Prosecutors described the graphic scene that police witnessed when opening Pelosi's door.

Prosecutors wrote in the court filing that after police reached the residence, Pelosi walked with the attacker to the first floor of his house and was able to open the door for them. The two struggled over the hammer in front of the officers at the doorway before the suspect bludgeoned him, the filing said.

"One officer ordered, 'Drop the hammer!'" the filing said. "But Mr. Pelosi could not maintain his grip on the hammer. A second later, Defendant wrenched the hammer away from Mr. Pelosi, immediately stepped back, and lunged at Mr. Pelosi, striking Mr. Pelosi in the head at full force with the hammer, which knocked Mr. Pelosi unconscious."

If they peacefully walked together to open the door for the police officers, what happened? As they made their way down to the first floor, were both men holding on to the hammer?

I doubt they peacefully walked together to let the police in. I picture them struggling the whole time and Pelosi managing to make it to the door with his attacker on him and still struggling when the door opened. Again, that's just my guess.

Now everyone is getting stories to line up, money is being passed out to those needing a bit of prodding to go along with the program. The joys of sanctuary cities never end.

That's one badass 82-year-old, to get hit in the head with a hammer, undergo brain surgery for a skull fracture, and be released in less than 6 days with no bruises or swelling?

I will agree with Bob on the door being opened...I would also think it was a struggle in progress..I am sure the attacker is mentally impaired and believed that somehow Nancy Pelosi is the fault of every wrong in the country....

Show us the video or it didn't happen. This story changes more often than Jill changes Joe's Depends.
The San Francisco DA is not trying to hold back the police body-cam video because of sensitivity to the family. They don't want the public to see it.
But they don't care if the whole case falls apart after November 8th. When that date is safely passed, they can just drop charges and allow Depape to drift back to Canada or stay in San Francisco as the wealthiest mentally-ill nudism-activist drug-addict hemp salesman in the history of San Francisco.
And if he threatens to become inconvenient, he can always have an overdose. The best thing for him is to take the significant payoff and just go away.
Remember how the media tied themselves into knots to cover for Andrew Gillum? Yes that Andrew Gillum. They just need to put a little more effort into the story lines they come up with. Even the people who so desperately want to believe this nonsense are having a difficult time keeping a straight face.

The judge overseeing the case against alleged Paul Pelosi attack suspect David DePape revealed last week that she worked with Christine Pelosi, the daughter of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Paul Pelosi. Shocking right?

While Democrat officials say the attack was politically motivated, neighbors revealed that DePape has long been associated with left-wing individuals and had several children with a local nudist activist known as Oxane “Gypsy” Taub.

This may give Nancy an out, she will be able to latch onto this and play the victim as her reason to bail, rather than maybe lose her Democrat minority leader position.

I dunno ... Something smells foul when a reporter gets suspended for reporting the truth.

Apparently, we have conflicting stories, one coming from Biden's DOJ and the other from the actual body cam footage.

There are contradictory accounts surrounding the details of who opened the door to the house on the night of the attack when San Francisco police arrived at Pelosi's house. Biden's Department of Justice claimed, according to a federal indictment filed earlier this week, that "two officers opened the door." However, the San Francisco district attorney's office specified that Paul Pelosi opened the door with his left hand in a different court document filed earlier in November.

NBC News correspondent Miguel Almaguer was suspended for accurately reporting what the San Francisco DA claimed happened. And indeed, Almaguer's account was not only a faithful rendering of the San Francisco DA's account, but it was also faithful to the truth.

"After a 'knock and announce,' the front door was opened by Mr. Pelosi. The 82-year-old did not immediately declare an emergency or tried to leave his home but instead began walking several feet back into the foyer toward the assailant and away from police," Almaguer stated. "It's unclear if the 82-year-old was already injured or what his mental state was, say sources."

NBC Bay Area reported that that night's body cam video supports the DA's account and refutes the Biden DOJ's false account. It shows either a startling lack of incompetence by the Department of Justice, or an attempted cover-up of a minor detail.

The fact that there are conflicting accounts of the incident, and that a reporter was actually punished for reporting the truth, should raise red flags.

Some people don't want it known that Paul Pelosi voluntarily answered the door after a man with a hammer had viciously attacked him. Now, all that's left to find out is.... well, why?

After all the stories and revised stories, I doubt Paul Pelosi was even hit in the head with a hammer. If he was he sure as hell recovered fast. The only for sure about this whole whacky story was that once the cops were involved they would have to cook up a blame Maga angle. Nobody cares that Nancy Pelosis old man is gay, id be surprised if he wasnt.

His baby daddy days were over half a century ago. I'm going to say living with Nancy has turned Paul full-blown gay. It's a feel good story to see an old boy his age in a position to get both nailed and hammered at the same time. Its a true happy ending.
