Post of the month as it refers to the post content....and not the people that run it.

Kudos for the obituaries as well.

Granite is fortunate to have several funeral homes...3-4 still operating...but unfortunately has no hometown newspaper any more.

I am thankful that I can to to one place instead of 3-4 to find information about recently deceased.

But the content of the posts, as it relates to the posters.......you are spot on and with authority I don't have, I hereby bestow the post of the month award.....

Well said Norad about the discussion page....the few posters have ruined a very good board with their need to keep spreading their hate for all that do not agree with their view....the remainder of this site is fantastic and very informational to the residents of Granite City...Thank you ladies for all your effort and work to run this site for us...

Allowing the opportunity for right wingers to see the error of their ways.......

But I know that I'm not a one trick pony and always saw myself part of a community of people willing to discuss.

The post from Admin makes a great point though...many of the local conversations really do happen on Facebook.

However there are too many one trick ponies out there that's basically "Here's a post from my 'trusted' right wing source -- Look at what Joe did today" or " Why I can't adore Trump enough.."

And I think ol Nordo has a point this time!

Interesting that brackets negate the post ...

It would make more sense if the first two sentences appeared thusly:

Talk about Granite City.... (Crickets)

In the original reply, I used brackets...and brackets enable HTML commands.

When it was Trump getting trashed in here, you never ever heard any of the leftist cries about why arent we talking about Mr. Jones new tractor? These people didnt care then because it wasnt their boy and their party getting ridiculed. They cant muster up the courage to try to defend China Joe, but they can at least try to discourage those that are having a field day with this current fraud in the white house. One way or another they feel it is their right to control the narrative.
