Did anyone else play bingo tonight? I've never had an experience like this before. An obnoxious drunk caller, yelling over the microphone at the players. People were shocked and nobody attempted to take the mic away from him or get him off the calling stage.
Many of the players said this guy is in this shape often and this isn't anything new. He was yelling out his personal phone number daring the crowd to call him complaining. Someone said he is the head guy of that association, and the entire place is a disorganized mess and has been since he has been in charge.
If tonight was any example, they will be locking up the doors to this place permanently in no time at all. I know I won't be back, I'll take my money to the other bingo hall.
Calling what happened at the Columbus bingo last night a mess isn't a bad enough description. Who in the hell was that drunken fool made a big ass of himself? I asked around, them people told me he is the president. Peoople should have demanded there money back after what he did to everybody. Cussing and raving telling people to shut up. Call the wrong balls during the games. Screaming at people to find another bingo place if we didn't like it. Screaming for peope to shut up because he was messing up the games. I drive from South County three nights a week to play at this hall and I ain't never coming back. He can stick that jackpot where the sundon't shine. Who has a bingo hall employee pull the tickets out for the 50/50 drawing? That should be done by a stranger. Then you couldn't hear the number called and when everyone was trying to check there tickets they couldn't because they didn't use the microphone when announcing the number, thats a whole lot of shady right there. Maybe some dirty tricks going down. I can't believe someone didn't yank his drunk ass down off that stage. I'm never coming back and trying to figure who to call to get their license taken away.
I have not been to bingo in a long time but I know years back different organizations ran Bingo on certain nights of the week at the KC hall. I worked Monday nights for the Twin Bridges hockey club. You might check and see if a different night might be better. I know on Monday nights it was always parents of Twin Bridges hockey players running bingo. I am sorry this happened, you should be able to go enjoy yourself at Bingo. It's supposed to be fun!Be who you are and say what you feel..because those that matter don't mind..and those that mind..don't matter.
Well yesterday was St. Pats and he probably did a load of drinking during the day while he stuffed his fat face with corned beef. they did not fail, because they did what their country asked of them....
My friend told me about this site where people are talking about last night's bingo, so I had to register to comment. I'm new at this so bear with me.
Me and my daughter and friends, our entire table pulled our money together to buy the tickets for that big drawing. We had well over 100 dollars in tickets and never even got a chance to check a single ticket! How fair is that to buy tickets and not even get to check any of them to see if you have the winner?
None of us understand why he didn't announce the winning ticket number over the microphone. When people started asking for the winning numbers to be announced he just started yelling at everyone to get out if we didn't like it.
Why didn't the members of this place step in and put a stop to this behavior and screaming at people? It was the police department night of bingo, that would be the last night you would think this drunk would pull this kind of shady stuff. We've all been playing at this place since my daughter turned 18, not any longer, not as long as this clown is allowed in the building.
That's a fact. Bingo there at the hall also proves to be a major fundraiser for the Parochial schools as well as other good organizations in town....and WHM is very correct that it's not the same outfit every day. I have no idea who's in there on the night in question, but it's not representative of the entirety of bingos there.
Usually these groups have to provide their volunteers to 'work' the bingo...
I only wanted to second that, because I'd hate to see other good people lose out based on the actions of one alleged bad apple in the bunch. .... but sometimes that's all it takes. Capital Punishment - Those without capital get the punishment.
