It's just a real myopic way of looking at things that's all.
Any attempt to strengthen the core area around St. Louis and counter the sprawl is a good thing and could over time indirectly benefit Granite City.
If St. Louis ever gets its act together and there is a movement inward to the core of the city and it prospers again, Granite City, by its proximity to it stands to benefit.
While I'm happy for the project, my optimism is cautious.
In the ranks of leadership in Missouri and Illinois remains a slough of people with a myopic view... That's why the sprawl continues.
