Well now we are using E days instead of snow emergency days. One more way our kids and grandkids miss a day of in person learning with their teachers . Technology strikes again.they did not fail, because they did what their country asked of them....

E-Learning brought to us by COVID-19!

Brought to us by COVID. Kept here by the district choice.
There's two problems I see with this and since I don't have school aged kids, my opinion doesn't matter.
They go to E learning now for snow days. Mom and/or dad now have to stay home or arrange for daycare for their smaller kids. Lost day of pay or extra money paid out. Then in May, when a snow day would be made up and mom and dad could recoup the money, they have to arrange another daycare day.
For the people in the back: Call of school for snow in February (daycare needed) Day made up in late May (kids in school. Cost washed)
E Learn Go to E Learn day instead of snow day in Feb. (daycare needed cost involved) No need to make up day in late May (daycare needed again because kids are out of school)
This is an additional cost to mom and dad.
I won't address the fact that kids lose another day in front of their teacher.
Technology has helped and hurt in so many ways. they did not fail, because they did what their country asked of them....
