More remote learning on the way

Everyone knew it was coming. After seeing all the cars at the BOE parked in the parking lot over the weekend, we knew it was just a matter of time.

They couldn't start it on Monday since most kids had left their Cromebooks and laptops at home. The letter was sent out instructing all kids to take them home starting the close of school on Monday.

This is not only Covid surge issue protecting the kids, it is more of a staffing issue with bus drivers, teachers and other staff calling off work.

Not at all unexpected, given the huge COVID surge that is going on at this time...as long as so many choose not to get the vac. this will continue to be a common thing for some time....

I don't just blame the people that chose not to get the vaccine. The vaccinated are getting the virus, the vaccinated are spreading the virus and if we would stop letting illegals flood this country unvaxed, untested and then we fly them all over the USA delivering them to other states. yeah it's not all about the unvaxed. and btw I am vaxed but I am starting to think nobody knows what the heck is going on with the virus and IF the vaccines are even doing any good.

Our wonderful President promised to get this under control and he now says " there is no federal solution". what a joke!

You're either smoking crack or really ignorant! Do you not see the news footage of these people flowing across the border undocumented?

Do yourself a favor and stay the hell off of Snopes. They are as bad and biased as Fox & CNN. Do you honestly think after making their way across the river they try to locate the nearest vaccination center?

I am willing to bet if I posted articles from Fox news on here showing the pictures of them flooding the border you would call my articles false too.

Never mind the border agents begging for help, the governors of these states getting plane loads of illegals and complaining. Yeah I would go with snoopes too! hahahahahahaha

I guess if you don't see it then it's not happening. That's the way the current administration is handling this.

Because God forbid that common sense measures like wearing a mask or getting a vaccine would be a solution....

They're stuck in that echo chamber and facts will not pry them from it......matter of fact, when proven wrong, they take after their great leader who chooses to double down instead of perhaps seek to learn from the facts.

If Covid is the issue, then pivot and start talking about immigration.

Re-read the post skippy, I just posted about remote learning starting back up. It was Millgirl who began the finger pointing and directing blame.

So, why don't the both of YOU take a look in the mirror before you start talking about how... "they" say this and "they" say that. The blatant hypocrisy the both of you display is sickening.

Viruses have been around since the beginning of time. At risk people have been masking up during the flu season for years, these practices are nothing new.

The ILLEGAL immigration problem our country is now facing, is not to blame for this surge in Covid, but it certainly does not help the situation when they are allowed to continue to enter undocumented, untested for God only knows what kind of diseases and viruses they may be dragging across the border with them.

Lastly, the "great leader" from the last administration could at LEAST recognize what Fk'n year it is when addressing the nation!

Liberals live in fear and when they don’t have valid points they name call. The tactic worked to remove Trump so why not keep it up. Be afraid, get a shot. Wear a mask even though they don’t work. Shame those who don’t buy into the jab. It’s all to take the focus off this senile coward on office now.

If they had any sense they would be focusing on a new candidate in 24 but who do they have?

MG, true, both side call each other names. In this particular thread you chose to represent snopes as a fact based source and they simply aren't.

My God, we all can see the pictures at the border are more of a concern than under Trump. It would be unrealistic to think that all of those people are being checked for COVID and even if they test negative, they may be bringing the virus with them.

Let's face it, liberals tried to blame COVID on Trump and it worked to insight their base of fear. Now, Biden has admitted it can't be handled by the feds. He and the CDC both now have egg on their face for their constant changing positions.

The kids belong in schools. Will they get sick? Maybe. Will they die? Stats say probably not. In Chicago the teachers walked out illegally and now all those kids are losing valuable time in the classroom. Our board needs to stand up and tell the public that we are in a new lifestyle that will have some form of COVID for years to come. Let the kids go to school and to the parents who fear COVID, simply keep your child home and work with them so they don't fall behind any further.

This doesn't have to be another topic to split our nation.

Opie...I posted two other fact checkers...I am sure some of you on hear will, of course, call them false...this post is not about immigration..that is just the deflect that someone choose to promote...It is about schools going remote due to COVID..I agree that children belong in the classroom...I think there are ways to control the spread and still keep the classrooms open..It is being done in New York which has one of the Nations largest school districts....

You're correct Millgirl, the post isn't about immigration, and it wasn't even brought into the thread until YOU started pointing fingers and placing the blame on people who are unvaccinated.

You can't have it both ways. Either blame all unvaccinated people for the Covid surge or none of them at all. You can't blame one unvaccinated group without blaming the illegal immigrants who are entering illegally, and unvaccinated and untested.

Why must you place blame at all? That's the most important question here.

The latest surge is from the omicron variant which is being contracted and transferred by the vaccinated and unvaccinated.

I brought that up early on too and it was ignored.

Now today I am reading that we are letting covid positive health care workers continue to work. So let me get this straight. Fire the health care workers who refuse the jab but let the ones that are infected still work and take care of people.

It's also now coming out that all the covid deaths really aren't from covid? What a shocker!
