Seem to be a perfect match for getting our city in gear and back on the map. The Mayor seems to be taking a direct, straight on approach with the city's flooding/drainage issues. Correcting this decades old issue will sure get him votes for reelection, people are sick to death of dealing with this.
Cathy Hamilton bringing new business to the area, (Thanks to her and the Mayor's shared vision) we are not stuck with industrial growth only, or more warehouses, but actual retail in the old Kmart building.
The combined efforts of Ms. Hamilton and the Mayor has sparked a new, fresh desire for growth, and clean-up and beautification of our city. I loved the "Dog Patch" comparison of outdated signage along Nameoki rd and in our shopping centers. The old signage clean up along with the bus stop and parking lot littering issues being addressed, these few changes alone will have a huge impact in our community.
Nope. All of Illinois politicians are tone deaf on the pension. So far, Parkinson has been impressive. I would call him a conservative democrat. I like Hamilton also.
