Ordinary people with extraordinary vision can redeem the soul of America by getting in what I call good trouble, necessary trouble. Voting and participating in the democratic process are key. The vote is the most powerful nonviolent change agent you have in a democratic society. You must use it because it is not guaranteed. You can lose it. |
I had the good fortune of meeting John Lewis on two different occasions.
If you think the man who wrote this is a piece of trash, you are a white racist, tater picking, redneck pig farmer. You're either too young or too uneducated to know what this man did and tried to do through a peaceful method.
Even when he apparently knew his days were short, he took the time, in the midst of madness that is going on today, to ask for peaceful remedies.
People like him, Dr. King, JFK and RFK were the last of a generation of leaders who know a racial civil war could happen one day if we didn't bridge gaps.
Yes, there are some people in congress who should be riding a trash truck but this man wasn't one of them.
Only a blind person would equate this person to trash or to the types who are burning cities down. You showed your stupidity and bigotry in one post. Congratulations. You're the perfect example of idiocy.
Protest: a statement or action expressing disapproval of or objection to something.
Riot: a violent disturbance of the peace by a crowd.
SEE THE DIFFERENCE?
