The stage is now set for every time an officer has to pull his weapon, he's going to have that second or two of doubt as to rather he is in the "right" to use it. |
That second or two may cost an officer his life. Live with that sympathizers. A cop doesn't go home to his family. A little girl doesn't have her dad any longer. A husband has no wife any longer.
And the criminal walks away.
Granted, Floyd episode was a murder with no remorse by those officers and I hope they're jailed. He had no weapon.
The Atlanta case is up for grabs as the taser the man took from the officers is a weapon. Did it merit deadly force? A jury will decide.
However, when a cop enters a house with a felony warrant, when he arrives at a crime scene with an active shooter, I don't want him hesitating. Remove the thread in the quickest most effective way possible. Go home safe.
