After more than two years, an investigation into the Madison County Board office and administration is officially over.
Visiting Judge Jerry Crisel of the Second Judicial Circuit in Mount Vernon issued an order Feb. 5 “terminating the prosecution and investigation” and ordering the return of seized items.
This comes after a Jan. 24 hearing in which McGinley Andrew of the Illinois Attorney General’s Office, which took over the investigation from the Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office in September 2018, said her office has withdrawn and ended the investigation.
That was a pretty shady deal that at least ended well, for now anyway. The Democrats do what they have to do in order to achieve their goals, they do not play defense ever. They take advantage of every situation and they are damn good at it. Look at what they were more than willing to do in order to seize back control of the MESD. It took them a little while, but they got it back, and it will probably be another 50 years before they lose it again.
