Was that how many hours after Trump won that the Democrats waited until they started with the impeachment talk? I didnt think they waited a full 42 hours.

I'm going with the number of one of the most important athletes in sports history. The late, great Jackie Robinson who not only broke color barriers in baseball but was one hell of an athlete.Every member of the House and Senate are richer tonight because of the economy of Donald Trump. You're Welcome!

Was just trying to have some fun.
Been in an out and observing from afar and ...norad had a good point.
Let’s talk politics then
1) good job park district on the track around Wilson park. While I can no longer do agility drills around the cracks (and I can’t run through standing water and silently make fun of wimps who run around it), I like the track repair. Smmmootth!
2) bad job park on the way they treat the Granite City Braves. Every home game they have been late to open up the bathrooms. The concession ladies have been AMAZING...the bathroom unlockers? Not so much. It seems they want us gone. I know for a fact some folks who made their bread and butter off of tackle football don’t want tackle football.
NEWSFLASH: young ladies soccer has a worse concussion rate than football, don’t see anyone trying to get rid of soccer.
3)Speaking of the Granite City Braves (who were out for the Labor Day parade and won best community org involvement), I AM BEYOND DISAPPOINTED IN OUR TOWN.
We’re full of people who bitch about the future of our town...but not full of people who want to go about the doing.
I had to tell 5/6 year olds early in the summer they couldn’t field a team and I had to tell 11 year olds, at the last possible second (because I held out hope the town would come through) they couldn’t have a team.
All because we let them down.
4) FIX THE DAMNED TRAFFIC LIGHTS YOU UNSERIOUS PEOPLE.
5)good job on the road work by the baseball fields. Sorely needed.
6) WTF is going on with the FEMA stuff from the flood?
I think that’s a good start. All local.
/talk amongst yourselves. Read Joe Ledger.

Track around the park is awesome. NO more swimming around the curve at 27th.
Don't know much about little tot football. I don't think they should be playing tackle until junior high. When you tackle, you read the ball carrier's hips and knees to determine where they're going. Tearing off a flag gives you that training.
Concussions are becoming more rampant in kid sports and will likely be the reason many parents don't let their kids play. I played defensive backfield for years and took many shots in the head but I'm okay. I'm really okay. Did I say I was okay?
You can't blame the parks for kids not being involved and not being able to field teams (although I don't think you were) Blame parents who let their kids sit on video games all day.
Fehling Road is awesome. Concrete last longer than asphalt. Good job.
You and your traffic lights. LOL. Relax and slow down a little.
FEMA is not going to help those of us in good old democratic Illinois.
Good to see you back Swabbie. Run for office so I can vote for you. Every member of the House and Senate are richer tonight because of the economy of Donald Trump. You're Welcome!

Let’s address em as best I can.
1) yes. No more swimming. I haven’t ran on it since the most recent oiling by the rink, but I’m sure it’s optimal.
2) Youth tackle football is safer than youth female soccer. And before you damn youth tackle football, I ask you to goto usafootball.org and investigate.
3) bottom line, the town let 5/6 and 11 year old kids down. There’s plenty of young men and women who want to play football. Who NEED team.
People bitch all the time and when it’s time to put their money where their mouth is, they’re in the bar.
4) I’m not going to run for office. I’m deciding on if I want to stay. My brother and I were talking about it, but I may focus my energy in other areas because the political game would be fun, but I don’t want to be at the mercy of some loser who can’t beat me toe to toe and has to dig up dirt. I’m liable to just beat the shit out of them.
My energy is best devoted “boots on the ground” directly influencing young people. Showing them the “way up” in my perception.
Plus my work is picking up and I’m devoting a lot of tome to that.
Most important, I’m down 1/3 pups out of the den...It snuck up on me, and I don’t have much “in house Dad time” left (and I get 50% as it is).
Maybe in a few years, but I may be out of state by then who knows?
I just popped on here to see what was going on (as I do time to time), and it’s gotten waayyy out of hand.
Take this to the bank: -Trump is winning 2020 -this impeachment stuff is a Hail Mary - the perp walls goto the top of the last administration.
It’s not debatable. You’re not smart. You don’t know shit. Divest your #resist energy, you’re a useful idiot.
Go do something. Go coach, go volunteer, stop throwing yourself into the grinder on this stuff. LIVE it’s what your supposed to do.
I’m MAGA all the way ( the things I’ve seen and read and have been exposed to that come out as “we were out of ammunition” and “these are sick people” to you all...I hope you never know), but you MAGA folks need to slow down too and read the above do something message.
You’re not right either.
That said, We’re in this together people. As we bitch and squabble about things WAAAYYY above our pay grade, our town flooded...again....
We still only have Walmart, shop n save sits empty, they have a “no right on red” sign at the overpass right (that can’t be code)...etc. there’s things to fix here.
Imagine if you invested 25% of your energy (all of you reading) into ending the “family business” and working to get someone downtown who’ll clean up the joint and do right by the town?
I bet you can.
Anyway, y’all have a good night. I’m gonna fade back and observe.
Go do something, stop wasting energy on this Trump/no Trump crap. Read Joe Ledger.

I know my response to #42 was President 42... it was more of a laugh to post the video and maybe just get someone going...
But 42 in October....Bruce Sutter ...comes to mind.
42 -- man the Cardinals couldn't even hit two tonight. They scored too many runs a couple days ago and ran out of them.
Let's see... Fooorty---Two... at times is another way people come back with a 10-4...Joe Biden is YOUR President!

I bet for some its fun to have the old man as the coach, but my dad was one of those that went out of his way to not show favortism. We have all seen the teams where the coaches son pitches and bats fourth and the kid can not hit or throw a ball worth a damn. I get it though, lots of fathers want to relive their youth and what better way right? In my neighborhood a guy coached his son in little league football and was one of these guys that wanted to win 50 to 0 if that was possible. I mean this guy thought he was Tom Landry, it was so pathetic. At a younger age the main goal should be creating a situation where all the kids could have fun. So often it turns into adults fighting and arguing and the kids becoming disinterested. Opie, im sure you werent one of those guys, but we have all seen them. The Vic Morrow Bad News Bears type coaches.

I helped coach 7 and 8 year old girls in softball for two seasons. The kids were for the most part great, but a couple of the parents thought their little darling was playing for the 27 Yankees. I figure at that age if you can get the game over without any drama and none of the kids pitch a fit it was a good day. We had girls that would ask me if they won when the game was over, they didnt all know. They had just as much fun with their chants and having snacks after the games.

You and your traffic lights. LOL. Relax and slow down a little.
It has nothing to do with slowing down. It is blatant messing with the lights for no logical reason. There is no reason that light at Walgreens should be red going north/south on 203 for over a minute at 3AM.

The "family business" will not go away as long as Democrat have a foothold in the state. I tend to believe Granite is worse than some surrounding areas, but what really compounds the issue is low intelligence level of those "family businesses".
