Are you kidding, you don’t think people have tried to talk to this administration?
The office you mention has had a revolving door of visitors ranging from private property owners, landlords, and business owners who have an investment in this city.

Maybe you need to stop and think that some of the people that are posting on here are people from the inside that see what’s going on and are trying to wake up the citizens, but can’t come forward for fear of retaliation.

And while cleanup projects are great and most certainly need to be done there’s a lot more that absolutely has to be done and can only be done by the people holding office.

Now we will all be happy to try to pick up trash and do our part as we should, all we're asking is for the people that are holding office to do the right thing.

When 70% of the city budget is for payroll there’s a problem! You can’t keep inventing jobs for friends and family members and expect the taxpayers to keep signing those checks.

Everyone knows that nepotism runs deep, it’s been discussed here numerous times but it never seems to change.

Nothing ever seems to change! Trim the fat and do what needs to be done in this town before there’s no town left.
All we have to do is look around us to see what our future is, if action in the right direction doesn’t begin

Do you remember when a strategic management review was commissioned in 1993, referred to as “The Melville Study”? Had it not been shelved and ignored by every single administration since, we wouldn’t be in the shape we are now. This city has had the answers since 1993 but every administration has shelved the answers found in that study, that the taxpayers had to pay for. Why do you think that is? It clearly addresses this city's nepotism, and antiquated form of government. What once worked during the 70's, 80's and 90's was obviously not working any longer. They all knew this since (1993) and found it easier to dismiss the information and change nothing.

If they had implemented even half of what was suggested we would be in a much better place.

It's quite easy to sit back and tell the citizens of this town to stop complaining, and talking among themselves, especially if you want a lot more of the same. To suggest putting together one more committee, among the countless others that have all ready been established, is beyond kicking and stomping an already dead horse. The change that is desperately needed to save this town is far more serious than additional beautification projects and clean ups. We need those in office to be held accountable and to start doing the right things, even if it hits them in their bank accounts!
