Getting Goldschmidt even as a rental was a good move, hes a very good player and a better person. The Cardinals are on the verge of bringing in Andrew Miller. He wont come cheap and hes 33 years old and his arm is about to fall off. This might make the Holland move look good. In his prime Miller was a nasty left handed relief pitcher, but his best days are in his rear view mirror. Britton would be even better, and hes not the smartest signing either.
