Actually, she was interviewed and hired by the Supervisor. Not one of my favorite moves, either. But, at least she was good help for Helen.
Now, after all of these years as a diligent, respected, ELECTED public servant, Helen has to watch her own back every second or her appointed co-workers will set her up for a fall. Disgusting.
And, she HAD reprimanded that lying Deputy Clerk/Notary in the past. In this instance, though, Helen was waiting on counsel from county. I have been told by others that an investigation continues at higher levels. We'll see.
So yes, rather than lie, I feel she mis-spoke when the question was asked whether or not she had written up her Notary, as it was for a different incident.
The badgering by opposing counsel was confusing and confrontational, any person would have been intimidated--that sort of thing can bring about a confession from the innocent.
ANYWAY, her lies are nothing compared to what has been coming out of the Township Office under the present Supervisor, or that will continue (maybe to a lesser degree)if those politically or otherwise related get put in the same or new positions of power.
Abuse of power. That, for sure, is some of them, but that's not Helen. Ever.
Never elect or re-elect someone who has ever been guilty of "abuse of power", or it will certainly happen again.
