So the electoral board in any community is made up of officials who hear objections to petitions filed by candidates (usually by another candidate)
The story as I understand it is you have two gentlemen running for the highway department leadership. One is the incumbent, Mr. Moore (husband of one of our posters) The other former police chief in Pontoon ,Charlie Lehyman.
In another race there are three petitioners and two of them are challenging each other for legitimacy of petitions? So if they are successful kicking each other off the third is handed the election?
Does that pretty much sum it up? The greatest thing about the township politics is that no matter how ridiculous it gets here in GC, we'll never have the most circus like boards.
If what was stated on FB is correct, one of the officials in the township lied while under oath. If so, that person could be in serious problem.
Hopefully Horsey will give us more details as I'm sure she was in attendance. What a joke this must have been.
