I'm trying to decide on rather or not to support Mr. Prenzler in his bid for County Board Chairman. I've read some material and listened to his pitch but feel I still don't know enough to tip the scale.
I do know he's not Dunstan and for that reason alone I'd like to vote for him. Dunstan, just like his predecessor Rudy Papa, doesn't know Granite City exist. Sure, he'll tell you the county has supported road work down here. Guess what. The county has to spread their available funds that are tied up with grants.
I remember Dunstan stopping by Nameoki Methodist last year while we were there with some back up food. Token photo op with the people from the trailer park who were housed there. He did nothing much other than say hello and kiss a baby.
If you have any startling information about Prenzler, let me know. I see him talking tough on controlling spending and ending some of the abuses by guys like Bathon.
