If they're excepting resumes, then you don't need to fill them out because it is an exception from the rule. Something is excepted, and thus forms an exception, except for when it doesn't.
However, if the fine Village is ACCEPTING them, then maybe those seeking a job need to get busy filling out that resume.
It's not so much the similarity of the words, it's a double-whammy that they just happen to be antonyms.
