I saw a few speeches, and Michael Brown's mom was irrelevant in the whole scheme of things, and was not given a platform in any capacity that we were all worried about.
With that said, those Mothers of the Movement who DID speak were good. You could tell they were nervous, but who wouldn't be in that capacity? Their messages needed to be heard.
I have my criticisms of the DNC, and wish Bernie would have Ted Cruz'd it...but what happened, happened.
Im not going to nitpick little, dumb things..although I could. But what I can say is that overall, I think it is good that so many different voices (even though they trumpeted an illegal immigrant at one point Monday....GRRRR) are heard on such a platform.
The RNC wasn't bad, either. I think Donald Trump's speech was necessary. Also, Mike Pence (while he creeps me out personally) did a good job of kind of "filling the cracks". I don't care about plagiarism, it is subjective nitpicking.
Im not excited about this Presidential election...but the other races are VERY important (Duckworth/Kirk for example).
Side note... Rachel Maddow crying about Slick Willy's opening about a "girl"....give me a break....
Humorous thoughts.....Bubba with all of those dignitaries' wives.......
