A little bit last minute, but I thought a few people here might be interested in this presentation, especially steelworkers (retired or active), their families, or those with an interest in labor relations or local history.

    "Steel and Solidarity"
    Presented by Gary Gaines

How we had three steel mills in a small city without big fights between the Union and Management and where we are today.

The presentation will be held in the Training & Events Room on the lower level. Staff can direct you to the room if you are unfamiliar with the library, which was completely renovated one year ago. Handicap access is via a ramp immediately to the left of the main staircase at the front of the building. Parking is available on the right side of the building, behind the building, and on the street.

This is a presentation brought to you by Celebrate Granite City.
