We are in a low lying geomorphic area, American Bottom - that being said, whenever we have heavy or excessive rainfalls as currently being experienced, we are at risk for flash flooding. The Highway Commissioner and crew are out and about working feverishly to keep water flowing. Rapidly rising water will peak all basins in a matter of moments.
