The underhanded, dirty dealing and back scratching runs deep and wide in Madison County. In any other venue he would have been sentenced to ten years or more for facilitating the crimes committed on the taxpayers he was elected to protect and represent.
He and his criminal wife were greedy. I mean who pulls in the kind of money they did yet needs to shoplift from K-Mart?
And all the people down in his gated community in Florida thought they were golfing and barbecuing with a fine upstanding man.
AND, as usual, there will be no legal respite for anyone who lost their homes due to the illegal scheme he generated.
He's gotten away with it, with minimal inconvenience and no chance of any civil suits. And either someone he had dirt on or who owed him has managed to finagle him out a year early. Literally no skin off his nose...he lives in Florida now, so there's no chance he'll run into former constituents or anyone who knows how corrupt he was during his stint in public office.
I wonder who that might be?
The residents of this county need to petition the court to unseal the file containing the terms of his early release.
But we all know that will never happen.
Too many have too much to lose if exposed.
