so, youre "avoiding 20 dollars in cost to spend 100 dollars later" Trust me, I was never doom and gloom on this. I just understand the necessity. Where do we get those funds? If my math is right, we would have (those of us who pay property tax) been on the hook for 2.67 cents per assessed dollar extra. 2.67 cents. Some of us were too wrapped in conspiracy theories, or have decided to take a stand (oddly enough not in WHO sits on the school board, which would have sent a more direct message) at an interesting time. I am disappointed because the big picture is not being seen here, as we obviously don't understand that our revenue is NOT that of more prosperous surrounding communities that have large business districts.... ..Where does our money come from? The State? The Fed Govt? County? Please, answer that. Im NOT surprised at the outcome, I am more disappointed that in the age of information...so many of us lack knowledge. We now have to ride this out together, and for future civic interaction, I suggest you (the proverbial "you") turn off reality tv and educate yourself. Because this was (in my perception) as good an example of citizenry that don't respect their civic responsibility. (less than 6k ppl voted, approximately..that is the larger issue).
