Podo...they need to consolidate bus routes and run full buses. If you dont you are wasting money by contracting more buses and drivers than you need. Or as you said use small van buses for routes where kids are far away from each other. Although there are not many of those here in Granite. I myself had an hour and half bus ride to and from school when I had to ride the bus in my days. It didnt hurt me at all and as far as I know did not affect the rest of the family. Kids can handle a long bus ride. They are resilient. They will adjust. FYI--I had 3 kids in the GC district that are all adults now and my kids walked or I dropped them off on occassion. I witnesses many buses over the years that were not even close to being full. Its sad when you realize whats going on and the district says they cant do anything about it, which I was told when I brought it up. I say Bu**Sh**.....you can make changes and I would think they would want to in the situation the district is in. Just like the uniform fiasco. Many wont like it but change has to come only this time it needs to comes from within the district, not from the taxpayers.
