What would this do to help the situation? Let's say there are 50 kids on a particular route but even 40 of them don't ride the bus. The bus still would have to run the route for the remaining 10 wouldn't it? Would savings come from maybe sending smaller vehicles for smaller route sizes? Perhaps longer routes so more kids would be on each bus. I don't know, my kids already have a 45 minute ride and we live about 3 1/2 miles from the school by road. I don't see how knowing a bus will be low on kids would save money. Please explain.
