So you don't think runner asking Mike to be the one looking a child in the face telling them they have no future is using the child as a pawn? That is what I'm talking about. Remember when they wanted all that money for the wrestling arena since E-ville has one and tried to pass it as safety for the kids? "You do want your kids safe don't you?" These are just 2 examples of what I was talking about. Also, I know that I hear that this referendum will not be used to give raises, but I don't believe it. I've been lied to too many times and too many times have there been "loopholes" to utilize funds in other ways than they were meant to be used. I'm not only talking about this school district, but pretty much all of Illinois. If I, and I believe others, were assured that the money would be used correctly, more would support. I would love to have GCHS get better, I would like for my kids to go there. I am, at this time, moving within 1-2 years just so they will not be going to GCHS. Things really need to change quickly for me to stay but I just don't see the district as wanting to get better. Borrowing money to keep the school at the level it is is not enough. Changes need to be made to improve the school not just stay the same as everyone gets their raises as usual.
