This place is one of the sh*t stains on our town. It's a depressing, stinking, nasty holding cell for the forgotten. Apparently they bring in a hefty amount of tax revenue for the town, because something sure has the health department and our city officials turning a blind eye to the repeated violations and condition of the residents.
I was trying to bring attention to this hell hole years ago. I attempted to get the ball rolling to either clean this place up or close this place down. I tried to organize a voluntary committee program to over see (baby sit) the residents and employees on a daily basis, with the hopes that the residents would receive quality care with compassion as an end result. Someone, anyone needs to be the voice for the residents, someone has to care.
I wrote Mayor Hagnauer about this issue well over three years ago and to this day have yet to get a response. I wonder if Mayor Hagnauer has ever stepped foot into this place, and if he has not, he should! He should take the time to make an (unannounced) visit. If he could get past the stench without gagging, within the first thirty seconds, I challenge him to sit down in the dining room with the residents and try to force a meal down, being served the very same food they expect the residents to eat.
You have been CHALLENGED Mr Mayor, stop turning a blind eye to this cruelty and step up! Everyone would be outraged to see animals being treated this way, yet they think nothing about elderly people being treated this way.
